NYC Black Pride is an annual five day multicultural event targeting the Black and Latino Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community. NYC Black Pride festival attendees are primarily Black and Latino LGBT person from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France and the Caribbean. NYC alone boast a population of over 100,000 Black and Latino LGBT persons. Another 10,000 people travel to NYC to attend Black Pride events, making this one of the largest events in the world for this community.

The NYC Center For Black Pride is a non-profit organization created to educate and advocate for NYC’s SGL/LGBTQIA2S+ people of color community through the creation of events that celebrate and honor our societal contributions. This years NYC Black Pride Festival will begin August 17th and run through August 21st. It will feature thirteen events throughout the NYC area, including discussion panels, an awards ceremony, an expo (featuring a trans bodybuilding competition, the black out Music festival, and the mr. and miss black pride international pageant), plus multiple social events/parties.
